Store them upright like books and away from steam, humidity or dampness. Sorry I cannot be more helpfull than that but its a start. I am sure someone else will have more advice. BTW the tapes that most porn dealers dupe onto for customer copies are very cheap & poor quality. I mentioned this once to someone at Your Choice after receiving yet another faulty tape and they told me that the choice of tape is left up to thier various agents in the UK who do the duplicating. Some agents use a quality branded cassette others use crap ones. I must say though that recently the quality from Your Choice has improved dramaticly since they introduced a new mastering technique. I wonder how it works?

I know someone who kept there's in a box in the cellar and the same thing happened, mould. Practically sprouted mushrooms. Keep them away from damp walls in a thick carboard box or wood shelf at room temporature, out of sunlight, and rewind them after use so the bit that gets mangled is at the start rather than half way through a good bit.

Or get a DVD player....
