"Picture removed by request..."

Why do we allow this? I can see that we might want to keep things sweet with the models who are currently working but why do we pander to the whims of those who have ( usually ) left the industry months or years ago and decided that they want to airbrush their work in the adult movie industry out of history?

These images are in the public domain ( or at least freely available from a multitude of commercial sites that own the copyright ) and it's safe to assume that model release forms were signed at the time the pictures were taken.

What next? Hugh Grant and George Michael insisting that we take their police custody mugshots off all those amusing T-shirts?

The photos here are a really useful resource and one that we should be doing our best to preserve rather than allowing it to be broken up.

I keep seeing posts saying 'the gorgeous avalon' and similar ... but look in the actrsss section and it says 'Picture withdrawn' ... I'm beginning to think it's actually Brian Ferry in drag.

What an excellent post...............i totally agree with young Jampton.....it does not make any sense to me. Is it because of the "shame" of having worked in this business ??? i can't see why myself.... or is it due to having a partner who knows nothing of her past ???

I really don't know the answer, but i am sure you guys and girls will all have your views.

I think that actresses who have moved away from the industry and dont want to be involved anymore should have the right to ask for their pics to be removed.. especially the ones who only dabbled and decided that the industry wasn't for them.mmm@bryan ferry in drag tho ... oops :)

I think its all down to the respect isn't it ? Don't we all have the rights? If the model doesn't want a picture displayed then its only right. Whatever the reason isn't anything to do with us, it is their right to decide what we see of them.
Just my opinion

To be fair to Avalon I believe she said in a previous post that she would not mind having her picture put back on her page.

Well not exactly if the model was paid and signed a general model release then the photographer has the right to use the photos as they wish, as far as the model is concerned they can only ask that a photo/s will not be used for a specific purpose unless it is written in the release, and a model release does not expire when the model leaves the industry.

At the end of the day it's up to the Mods as they run the site & they make the rules. We all agreed to them when we signed up to the forum....

This is something I feel increasingly strongly about, which I also link to the changing of girls' names so that actually cross-referencing work becomes extremely difficult and defeats the object of setting the database in the first place.

There is, in my opinion, a slim case to be made for one-offs or "accidents" but if the rationale is that kids or neighbours etc etc may see, well why are they looking at this site in the first place? It's pretty obvious what's going on here.
If this site was the ONLY source for a pic or name reference then there might, just, be an argument.

But, consider Linda Leigh, aka Linda [6]

Now we're not s'posed to know her name or see a picture, but scroll down and look at the links and hey-presto join Linda Leigh's fan club.

And whatever happened to Louise Hodges? Search the database for one of our most renowned actresses and you get no returns. What confidence can you have in a resource that has airbrushed Louise from the record?

She's here, of course, as Louise Armani,

but wait a minute, can this possibly be the same woman who's flogging her videos over on the promotions forum? Where she posts as, ahem, Louise Hodges?

Now I personally think this has gone too far. Fortunately I keep my own reference database, which includes all aliases used including those on various model sites and a reference pic. This is what first attracted me to BGAFD, but if known information is being supressed then??

There's always the iafd where accuracy is still prized.
