Point reinforced by "quality" of replies.

I think discussion fora are enhanced, within reason, by moderators allowing participants to wander a little off-topic. Seems more sociable, like an actual real-life discussion, then. Obviously there are certain taboo topics but apart from those, there's no problem here. You can tell from the title of a post whether you'll be interested, and nobody's forcing you to read all of them.

And don't forget that the BGAFD forum attracts some very high calibre authors from the worlds of literature and philosophy and not only piss-artists who just stumbled in from the local. But wankers we are one and all!
