What difference does it make where the merchandies is shipped from, so long as it is shipped?

Just to give some advice about sending stuff from overseas.

My friend used to send me a few tapes, just the reels, and inserted into a round biscuit barrel.

Customs & Excise jumped these, then stormed their way into my house, and proceeded to go through everything in the house.

They took everything that they thought would be gained as evidence in a court of law, so any letters, going through my bin, any videos I had, my vcr, etc.

It was only after months, and with them deciding that they had nothing to prosecute me, that they kept the videos, and eventually handed the goods back to me.

My family had dealings with people like these in Eastern Europe during the 2nd world war; they were called the SS.

What was on the tapes Zipper? Why go to the extreme lengths of removing the reels and hiding them?

Why? Do you want to grass them up?
Who cares where they came from so long as they arrive...

I've long thought that Customs agent was the best job of earth...unlimited contraband, free of charge, all in the line of duty...and they're getting paid to do it!! It would be verry interesting to raid the homes of some of those guys, some pretty interesting stuff would turn up, I'm sure.

Yep, I was going to ask the same thing. Hard to believe customs would go the the time and effort to mount an op unless what they recovered in the biscuit barrel was way out there.
