hi chaps,where can i purchase a video convertor(from english to american)and roughly how much are they,cheers mack

- Go buy a copy of "Camcorder User" or somesuch from Messrs W H Smith. Loads of equipment suppliers advertise in there.

Expect to pay in the region of ?600 - ?800 for a professional broadcast quality digital standards converter. Anything less, and the picture quality you get as a result is not good (to put it very, very mildly).

Presumably your'e talking about VHS casettes?
Then mebbe your cheapest alternative is to buy a new TV or Video that is compatible with NTSC(U.S. video).
I own a JVC video and TV both compatible with NTSC. Works fine and dandy with Yank VHS tapes.
