A while back I dabbled I making vids (Silver-Films) it was only when I spoke to BD and Remington Steele that I realised what a shitty business this is. They sell their vids to retailers for about ?5, the rest of your ?20 goes in some greedy middlemans pocket. I worked out it would cost about ?3000 to make a film and get a rating, so how many would you have to sell to be in profit! I do trade the occasional vid via this forum, but, wouldn't it be great if the producers could cut out the resellers and let us have quality porn (unlike some of the traded fuzzy crap I've got!) at a very cheap price. If you are going to trade then great, but remember we have to put in to get out and every now and again you should dig deep and actually buy something. We the punters and lovers of porn will loose out in the end if we don't. Support our porn producers before they all fuck off and film gardening documentaries!

I quite agree and I am sure that you, like me, always buy official tapes rather than getting a copying from a mates tape.

"Cut out the greedy middlemen" I.e, distributors. Then who would distribute and promote the movie, while the video producers are busy producing more videos? Futhermore, I don't know of any industry collegues who are raking it in at the moment - quite the opposite in fact. The British market has shunk in the past few years. The novelty has passed, everyone has now seen a porno video.

You could have quality porn - but that costs money, and there you are talking about having cheaper (nay, "very cheap") videos! Get this. Videos have never been as cheap - in relative terms. I can remember buying my first proper porn vid in 1981 ,or there abouts, and it was ?40.00 - half of my weekly wage!

You did have a sensible point to make when you said that punters should buy Kosher movies and support their local producers.
