this was published in fridays london evening standard:
Sex? It's a woman's game
the tired assumption that woman universally like their sex fluffier than their male counterparts, is a drag and the comments about sordid sex shops out of date (at least for the licensed ones) but the female angle is interesting, as it's so rarely covered.

I must admit until I read that I had not heard of Hot Rod productions. It would be interesting to see some british porn produced by a woman. But would it have the gritty appeal of gonzo or would it be bubble-gum like the crap Vivid churn out. Can you imagine a female Ben Dover making pervy comments from behind a camera? That would be good.

i've not heard of 'hot rod' either.
re. women producers - this post by anna span suggests she might get there first:
anna also does the comments from behind a camera thing, in her "eat me, keep me series". hopefully, any r18 stuff she comes out with won't be like ben or vivid but something new!

I wish they would overcome the temptation to assume that 'hard' sex such as DP etc. is universally a man thing. It's produced and marketed in a way that targets men, yes, but plenty of women do get off on nasty sex, both participating and watching.

The writer mistakenly thinks Jackboots Straw legalised porn. He did not he hates it but got his arse kicked at the High Court when the nice old judges decided he and the bbfc were wrong. I suspect a few High Court judges will be regular customers at Your Choice etc. No, on second thoughts New View would be more their thing.

Hot Rod have bought a small number of titles from New Sensations, such as North Pole and 4 Finger Club they also own Wicked's Dremquest for the UK, and as the article says a few porn classics like Devil in Miss Jones. They also own titles from Future Entertainment, JM Productions and Extreme. I think the fact they are not that well known shows some truth in the article for how difficult this end of things can be for Women. I think for Hot Rod to break into the closed market of the Sex Shops is clearly the problem. I have only seen their full range Titles on a couple of internet sites. ( Not going to say again as I did it in another post but we all know who one of them is!)

The Cameo Collection films (made/distributed by Your Choice) were directed by Linzi Day (a woman as far as the advertising's concerned) who's motto is "The guys don't go home until the girls have cum." No idea what else she's done. Anyone else heard of "her" or is it not a "her"?
If the Cameo Collection no 1
is anything to go by, it's not bubblegum at all, quite good actually, no annoying music, plenty of well lit close ups and a nice variety of girls. Nothing too harsh, and one scene is very "couples" oriented (soft focus and candle lit) - saying that it features an incredibly long take of Carly G getting a really hard and intense doggie fucking; if that's couple's porn, then I'm all for it.

A lot of judges approach things from quite a liberal perspective, contrary to their popular image. They're also infused with an intense suspiscion of politicians and their motives.
