I've only ever bought it over the counter in licenced shops, but there are companies who offer to supply films mail order as we all know. I've heard this is illegal, am I right? If so, do that mean we CAN buy stuff mail order but just have to do it discreetly. Does it mean that when people advertise themselves as a supplier its kind of like 'I wont tell anyone if you dont' kind of thing, and supply it to you. Is it 'sort of' against the law but not really (a grey area - smoking pot in Amsterdam kind of thing - illegal but they dont enforce it).

Please let me know as I've never done it (yet).

Well that's good, I intend buying some soon. But i'm sure someone said on here that it was illegal.

It is illegal under the terms of the VRA but it is not illegal to import - see my other post.

Thanks for your comments both of you, but I'm still just as confused. So Jacques, if i bought a film by going to a site and putting my credit card details on there, my address and everything, and getting them to send it to me, am I breaking the law by making that purchase in that way?

Thanks for your comments guys and for pointing me in the direction of certains sites. It seems to me that this is a grey area: I've been told that I CAN buy porn mail order, meaning that I could do it and it would land on my doormat and there wouldn't be a problem with me getting it, and I've also been told that's it's ILLEGAL to buy porn mail order but legal to import it. I'm not really any the wiser but I know now I can purchase it, whether I'm really supposed to or not. This is what I thought at the start.

Yes r18shop.co.uk are very good, i got my porn from them until i got on the net. Also check out www.blissbox.com they are a bit expensive but they deliver very fast if ordered online.
