i have an old tape which i,ve had about 10 years,its called "hand of diamonds" . it stars a young diane keen, its hardcore.christopher biggins is also in it but thankfully he is not in the sex scenes.somebody told me that the close up shots of diane were done with another girl.i seem to remember seeing a soft version called sex thief. does anyone know any more about this film.i have not found anything on this site about the film.

the h/c close up inserts are not of diane keen. you do get to see her full frontal in one scene in the s/c "sex thief".

whoever did the h/c edit went to the trouble of coming up with a decent match for ms. keen's bush, hence the persistent belief that it was actually her.

We don't list it because all the hard core bits were added on later and none of the credited performers took part in them. It is called Sex Thief aka A Handful of Diamonds aka Her Family Jewels. About a dozen 70s soft core British films had hard export versions. In some of them such as Sex Express aka Diversions (see review under diversions) and The Office Party the credited actors took full part - Heather Deeley and Theresa Wood respectively in those films (advertised as 'Theresa Wood and she did!') - but in others the hard core footage was shot separately with different performers, sometimes as extra unrelated scenes as in Emmannuelle in Soho, sometimes with hard core close ups inserted into soft core scenes as with the film you mention and sometimes with a mixture of both as in Keep It Up Downstairs. In one case - Come Play with Me - the hard version was shown only once in a London club and it was never released. The uncut versions are very difficult to find and I have seen only Handful of Diamonds and Diversions. Simon Sheridan's latest book, Keeping the British End Up, is my source for this information.

ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh, it all becomes painfully clear,now. when i was a young lad i knew a guy who swore blue he'd seen diann keen do hardcore. we all said it was bullshit and laughed at him. well, now i can sleep easy, knowing the whole thing has been cleared up...... honest!

i had this clip 3or 4 mins long on another video..diane keen shows her tits u bush,,i put on freeze frame at the time but wasnt convinced then afew years ago on tv there was a doc about how they used to put clips in to sell the films more...still it was nice to see her because at the time she was quite a big celeb..........ben get in touch with her ive an idea how to revive her career???
