I was wondering if anybody could recommend a camcorder. Are digital the best. I realy would like to get a profesional look to
my work, rather than the amature and cheap looking stuff you can see everywhere these days.
Thanks for any help.

Try the new Canon XL1s, just bought one absolutley brilliant. 3CCD gives broadcast quality video. Not cheap at ?2700 but if quality is what your after, well wort it.

I have to sell the Canon XL1 (about 2 years old) without assesoires for ?1.200 plus VAT (official Invoice). This camera was never used, is like new.
Also Sony 9000, same price (nearly three years old).

I agree with the other posts the Canon XL1 is the best but if you want the second best as you can't fork out for the best try the Canon GL1. Provides most of what the XL1 does but for less!!
Lighter to carry as well!!

It's not the camera it's the person holding it

IMHO it's not about the camera but the camera work and the editing thereafter. Obviously any digital camera would be fine but one where you have DV in/out, so you can edit then copy back to the camera.

I think the XM1 is beter for amatuer work cause of the monitor on side. Only problem is it neads constant head cleaning. DVin/out etc. I have used almost every camera on the market right now so I know a fair bit.
I got a BetaSP Camcorder for sale if you want to play with the big boys.
