How many magazine covers does a girl need?

British model Kerry Marie's page on Wikipedia has been deleted. It was posted for several years. Here's their reasoning if you can slog through it!

Well, you 'owned' her for several years, so you can hardly compain if she
wants now to free herself and live her own life. Had you been less selfish,
we might well have seen more of her, a crime for which I personally find it
hard to forgive you. Your contracts could in fact be reasonably viewed as
an attempted restraint of trade. You get 100s of other girls coming in
an every year, so why moan? Is your standard of living being imminently
threatened? I'll take round the hat to save you from having to rent a
dustcart, you poor thing.........

While I'm here, BTW, you also wildly overcharge for mags/DVDs. You're in
my personal Top 10 for greed [other contenders Evil Angel/Swank/Harmony],
which is why I only ever buy your product at discount.

What are you ranting on about? My post is about Wikipedia deleting Kerry's page.

She's not alone with being binned

I guess they have to draw the line somewhere otherwise the site would
just become another myspace marketing tool

Interesting comments about what the future holds for wiki here

When I posted the 'rant' they hadn't deleted the page. Maybe I've got a
better processor than you.
Mrs JJ [who has contributed therein recently says that the page should normally be removed within 12 hrs, hence the possible confusion.

As to the rest of it.......

Seems to me, Bear - and I may be wrong - that Elliot James was not pleased about the proposal to delete Kerry Marie's Wikipedia page. Wikipedia's central reason for this seems to be that Kerry Marie wasn't widely enough known, particularly outside her own specific field, and one of jj's many points, unless I'm mistaken, is that Elliot James' magazine Score is in part to blame for this because she was a Score contract girl and thus worked for only one company rather than working for several, which jj believes might have boosted her profile and enabled her to keep her Wikipedia listing more easily.

I'm not entirely sure I agree with jj on this, but my beef is with Wikipedia - why is Kerry Marie less notable now than she was a few months ago? In fact, why delete entries from Wikipedia at all? As soon as an entry is deleted, the overall collection of knowledge contained within Wikipedia goes down, not up, and the website is poorer as a result...

Kerry has posed for many photographers and studios since 1998, we all know that, so the SCORE bashing is nonsense and not relevant to this thread. My point in my post is that Wikipedia creates an entry for her that has been up for years, then deletes it after this lengthy and complex internal discussion process. It's a huge waste of time and effort on their part and almost seems in part like they are punishing Kerry for not being 'worthy' in their opinion when she is, in fact, one the greatest big-bust models of modern times. I can't imagine the guys at BGAFD even considering something like that here.
