Dory Devon / Blonde Ambition

Since there seems to be some confusion about Dory in the BGAFD review of Blonde Ambition, http://www.bgafd.co.uk/films/details.php/id/b0156 I thought I should mention that she was actually an American actress with a good British accent, rather than being British born. She was a last minute replacement for British star Heather Deeley (?personal problems? prevented Heather from taking the role), no other film roles are known, though Dory may have had a background on the stage. ?Dory Devon? sounds for all the world like a pseudonym, but was the name she used on set, so who knows?

BTW: Blonde Ambition is copyrighted 1980, but was actually made back in 1977.

Might also be worth amending the bgafd review of Blonde Ambition to make it clear that Suzy Mandel used a body double for all the hardcore scenes. The use of a body double was written into her contract and its quite evident in the final film. The body double is also confirmed in this recent interview
