Are porn film sets generally creepy places?

I have a DVD that mentions the address of where the movies for that production company are made. This is about a 5 minute walk from a person's house that I visited in a certain town on the south coast of England back in December. Having watched this DVD many times, and having seen the address details appear in the closing credits on countless occasions, the road name was kind of stuck in my mind, but I thought nothing more of it. I walked around this town for nothing more than just an ordinary stroll and when I saw the name of that road, which I only stumbled upon by chance, it was annoying me that the road name was ringing a bell in my head but I couldnt place it. I suddenly remembered back at the place where I was staying that it was the road name that always came up in the closing credits of this DVD. I did some research online and found out the road number.
I was now intrigued and I wandered round there especially the next day. Every house in that road are semi's and they are all large and were built in the 19th century by the look of them. All are in good order and all have the street number on, or next to, the door. I got to this place and it looked really creepy! The absense of any street number on or near the door was very noticeable, presumably so if anyone photographed it it wouldn't give away it's location in the street (strange then that they put the full address in the DVD's!). It looked like it was last painted in the 1970's and it had a lifeless kind of feel to it. No activity, and all the blinds and curtains closed - giving the impression that is how it always is there. The place had an eery-ness to it not that dis-similar to the house in the film 'Salems Lot' or 'Phycho'. It seemed scary to think what it might be like inside.
As this is the only porn film set I have ever knowingly looked at from the outside, I can not compare it to other ones. Do a lot of porn film sets have a spooky, cold, feel to them?
