you know they do these most powerful lists of people in hollywood i.e actors/directors/producers who would you say are the 10 most powerful people in the UK porn industry at he moment ?

I would say a few people who would be in the list would be,

Di Santo/Anjali
Ben Dover
Phil/Cathy Barry
The Relish team
Anna Span
Viv Thomas (not british I know)
The Rude Brittania Team
The Plonkers at Bluebird I suppose

The Rude Brittania Team!!! please!!! not even in the top 100. Bluebird??? they would obviously put themselves up there, but what have they really done? They are using money to influence their rise in the industry, should it not be judged on what they bring to the industry?
What about Gazzman? probably our most successful british producer/director, along with Trevor Watson.

I would have said David Sullivan at number one and Harmony at number two. Did you base your notion of who is powerful on the basis of who you prefer in order Mat08? Or who you think is powerful?

Are we talking talking power in terms of selling a brand to the public or clout in making things happen? If its the latter then i dont think anyone has any power whatsoever.

So what is your basis for real power? As for influence I dont see one name on there that has influenced anything that would suggest power.

Great question by the way. But what do you mean by power exactly ?

If by power you mean wealth made from the business that can exude power then yes nothing would compare with David Sullivan and Paul Raymond. Maybe to a lesser degree John Graham. But these three have really all but gone now and operated in a time when the business was flourishing.

Companies now would be Harmony, TVX, Playboy, Killergram, Bluebird, Lady Sonia.

But if you mean producers/directors who are making decent money then probably Kenny Rye, Trevor Watson, Terry Stephens, Phil Barry.

These are the one's that I'm familiar with anyway. There may well be others who I have'nt mentioned.

But remember it is a vastly different world now compared with when the top three made their millions.

Probably Richard Desmond, if the media can be counted as influential (he owns Television X and the Daily Express).

With adult entertainmaint though, it's probably more important to be respected by people in the industry than by people outside of it - so, it'll be people who treat others decently and behave the most professionally, rather than those who throw their weight around.

...of course, in an ideal world No. 1 would be the consumer.

Come on guys no need to get tetchy. These were just a few names that came to my head at the time, it isnt a definative list !!!. You two guys would probably be on the list aswell anyway.

I think Viv thomas has to be quite high on the list because although an over seas company using mainly over seas girls I believe the guys running it now are british and they sell big numbers in the british market.
