A while ago I thought about entering the biz as an actor. I applied at an production company in Munich. There I was told that I would have to pay 200? for test shoots to see if I had the required talents for this sort of job. I felt quite incomfortable with this arrangement ?cos I was in fear of being ripped of. The owner of the mentioned company told me that that would be the way things are handled all over the biz. Can someone tell me if she?s right or did they really try to rip me off?

This is total bullshit what he told you, but there is a lot of crooks out there. He tried to rip you of, and worst, he has no jobs for you, because no professional company in Germany works with such an bastard.

The best way for you to try and get into the business as a performer is to contact people who make product that you think you might be suitable for.
Also make sure you've got a girl who you can work with, because producers are pissed off with wannabe male performers who are only looking to get a free shag.
Without a girl of you're own you'll find it tough finding anyone to take you seriously, because I've found that 99% of new guys either can't get it up in front of a camera, or they can't fuck so that the camera can see what they are doing!
This is not a dig at you, but I'm just being honest. If you want a second opinion just ask Ben Dover.

I would always recommend any model (m or f) not to pay for test shots etc, unless its a small fee to cover film costs etc. If someone can use you professionally to make money, they will pay you and then make their money by selling the product
