Does anyone know what happened to these 2 pioneers? Are they still alive?

MIke Freeman is still producing films - Phantasy Show 2 just released R18
This is in the links video section BTW.
According to Simon Sheridan who wrote Come Play with Me: the Life and Films of Mary Millington, published a couple of years ago, John Lindsay was still alive (if I remember correctly) but wouldn't talk about his films, though he did consent to appear on a TV programme about Mary Millington a few years ago.

'Fleshpot' ed by Jack Stevenson has item by David Kerekes(Headpress mag). It says Lindsay opened a chain of 'Taboo' cinema clubs in london's Soho. He discovered a loophole in brit law that enabled members-only to fall outside of the BBFC and the OPA. In 1983 he was arrested following a raid of his clubs, officers claimed they confiscated 4 films of homesexual rape and other violent acts. Lindsay claimed they were planted and were of no interest to punters. Lindsay was sentenced to 12 months prison and upon release he sold the clubs and retired from the porno business.
