Porn distribution - an idea

While browsing around my local Blockbuster Video the other day, and noticing that they stock a lot of soft-core 'erotic movies', I wondered why they don't go the whole hog and set up R18 sections, at least in their larger stores?
Of course, they would need to get 'sex shop' licences, and they would need to physically adapt their stores (presumably putting the R18 section behind swing doors or something like that), but these don't seem insuperable difficulties.
Maybe they would be worried about the effect on their image, but let's face it, they are hardly Harrods. And they would surely do a roaring trade, even at the '?20 sale, ?10 part-exchange' prices used in Soho.
Or maybe the problem would be with the local licensing authorities who just don't like sex shops, but a big company like Blockbuster (presumably owned by some conglomerate) would be better placed to overcome the objections than most.
I daresay this idea has already been shot down in flames, but I thought I'd try it out anyway.
