Something written in the "Porn Industry Targets Torrent Users" thread made me remember something I've been thinking about.

Why don't models set up a official site of their own, perhaps just with some information and photos and most importantly affiliate links to the sites they appear on? Maybe also describing the content they shot for that particular site?

It just seems like a very good idea to make money? Fans of a certain model would be more likely to join through the model's affiliate link than through any other link.

Yet I don't think I've seen a lot do something like that, if any at all?

Many do it already on their blogs.

Some of us do on our websites !wink!

RGB and RED are right, many do, but not nearly enough, from my view.

Models have a golden opportunity in this realm, especially if they're blogging and really interacting with the fans via the web. Unfortunately, the newer girls (or at least the ones that don't really view this is as a proper career, which is a shame) really don't know how it all works. They also don't realize, often times (again, particularly the new girls) that there's a lot more to the job description of "porn model" than simply doing a shoot.

That is, if one wants to be truly successful.

Red, I was thinking more of models linking to other sites where she appears on and using their affiliate programs rather than setting up an affiliate program for your own site. One Eyed Jack's example, Kerry Louise, does that (even if I would put a section on her official site and not just in her blog.)

I guess that models who would want to keep a low profile wouldn't want to do something like that, but for everyone else, it's not that hard to set up and considering all the threads where people want to know where they can find more of a certain model, they would be making money from it too...

Sorry Hugh that was what I meant - I should have read what I'd written. I didn't mean my own affiliate program!
I meant joining other site's affiliate programs to promote them from within my site and on forums, etc. That way we all make money!!
