Hi all,

I am thinking of ordering from Excalibur, as they appear to be very reliable. Probably one video within R18 guidelines. But, do they declare the actual price of the DVD or video on the parcel. Anything that draws attention to the parcel would be unwelcome!

I have emailed them with questions, but they never seem to quite answer this one.

The video comes in a padded envelope marked with a Customs sticker (Stateside) stated that it was a pre-recorded educational film.

The video was NTSC format but was fine on my 18month old video.

Hope this helps.

Ive just ordered six tapes from them (value just under ?100 sterling). All were said to ship in 3-5 days. Am I going to get stung for import duty (how much?) and do Excalibur have the sense to send them separately so that at least some will get through without Customs sticking their beaks in?

Let's hope they get through Magoo, but when I got 2 DVD's(valued at $40) I was charged ?8.67. I believe most stuff over $20 is charged. The DVD's I ordered actually cost $20 for the 2. Let us know Magoo what happens!

I will let you know what happens. I was aware that anything worth over ?18 attracted duty but I am not sure at what rate or percentage. I hoped that if they arrived in seperate parcels I might get away with it.

I always order one tape at a time. Excalibur fills in the price (usually about $25) on the little Customs sticker. I have only once been charged duty (out of about 15 tapes), and then the postman didn't bother to collect it!

I have got my answer back from Excalibur and they said that if I requested it on ordering, they would put "gift" on the sticker and no value! I am sure this would be OK for a few DVDs or videos, but anymore and C & E would get suspicious.
