In certain cases its widely accepted that a girl only did a few films and the entries on here are complete and girls who retired say 1990's or early 2000's would have not done any h/c stuff other than films for video/DVD release. But I see that amongst the many posts about Lianne Young OEJ has said she did 100 plus films but there's only 66 entries on here. I know sometimes a profile gets updated but it makes me wonder if in certain cases certain girls have loads of films not on their listings.

When she was added it was only british productions only
so all the foreign stuff on her iafd.com wasnt included

Fast forward to recent years when foreign titles have been added to the database to accomomodate what sponsors were selling and you have the perception the page listing is incomplete

the foreign titles can be seen...not much point duplicating everything iafd has already listed but it makes sense to accomodate sponsors

No database is ever complete; on rare occasions they may be nearly so.
With a lot of new content being web-based this situation will only get worse.

As to the older stuff, a case in point is Melanie Bishop: she did an unknown
number of titles in Italy, as she mentioned here a long time ago- and IIRC I added
a German one not so long ago.... and it's entirely possible that there is Brit-made
stuff that's slipped through the net.
IOW- no-one's perfect.

I'm basically unknown on this site even though i have a well known site & have been around for donkeys years having made dozens of films, i think you are only listed for R18 films & not uncerted or web movies.
The site is more towards Pro than amateur as there are 1000's of them & only a couple of hundred pro stars so its easier to list them, an example is the TAC girls organization that as 100's of well known stars but none are featured here either because they have not released an R18 movie or because they are just web mistresses.
The data base should include any movie web,dvd etc to get an accurate idea of who's who but i think they do well keeping up with the girls they do follow.

P.S. another example is the girls banner...not one amateur star among them

Sorry, but you're confusing bgafd policy with egafd policy here. bgafd has always tried to list American and European appearances, though not necessarily completely successfully. egafd deliberately excluded American titles for practical reasons. bgafd began before the R18 classification was altered to its current form and the filmographies would have been pretty small in many cases, e.g. Nici Sterling, Roxanne Hall, if American and European titles had not been included. With European titles, finding them is made extremely difficult by the practice of adopting different aliases by different production companies, especially in Germany and Italy.

it took me a while to realise that egafd don't list American stuff so prolific performers like Sylvia Saint's listing is far from complete. But on here American titles that have been tracked down are listed.

I'm not sure of the protocol here but on egafd [and iafd, for that matter] the
decision has been taken [for the foreseeable future] to exclude web stuff. EBI
attempt to list sites where girls have worked- but their listings are often far
from complete.
Egafd/bgafd are "FILM" databases, which I think clearly sets out the intended
scope. Even within this restricted ambit the output exceeds the ability of
contributors and organizers to incorporate it.

4WIW it's only recently that iafd took the decision to attempt to include Euro titles
wholesale- so iafd's listing for SS is also substantially incomplete [although due to
her high profile, much less so than that of many other Euro girls]. It gets quite
complicated as many 'US' titles are in fact re-releases of earlier Euro material-
often iafd will list a title under its US release name; egafd under its 'original'
name.
Another point is that on bgafd many girl's profiles are [to my mind, artificially]
inflated by the inclusion of comps- take a look at Roxanne Hall's page, for example.
While personally deploring the practice I have to commend the quixotic attempt at
comprehensiveness : -)) OTOH iafd and to a greater extent egafd accord such titles
very low priority for inclusion.
Your questioning title should therefore perhaps be rephrased to "often surprisingly
accurate and relatively complete, given the myriad limitations of time, resources,
expertise and intended scope".
