Jobs in porn....??

Just sitting here on my day off and thinking, as we all do from time to time, of ways to earn extra money and add more excitment to life. Its dawned on me that I love porn and Id willingly get out of bed a bit more quickly on a Monday morning or weekend or whatever if I was to involve myself in something I actually enjoyed doing.

I was wondering are there is there a database or a start off point to find jobs in this sector? Im not talking about porn star (though that would be the best job ever!) but rather behind the scenes, anything from teaboy on set to marketing, promotions and soforth. Are there many jobs around? Is there any money to be made? Be interested to know your views..

I would give up if I were you because there are no jobs in porn at all anymore unless you're already loaded ! Or a gorgeous looking 20 year old female. And even if you are either you ain't gonna make a living so be prepared to lose (tax loss if your clever) your money or work as a hooker to make it worthwhile if your the latter !

How good are you at marketing?

There are LOADS of people running sites that they would like to make more money.

If you can do marketing that makes them money, and are willing to put your money where your mouth is, you could indeed build yourself a job in porn.

Take AIR for example. It has amost no penetration in the US, so I'd be happy to credit you with US accounts generated and then, payoff, the money I make from the US side.

There isn't anything quite like AIR in the US, so this is a serious opportunity.

Cheers

Pauls got a good point though- there is plenty of work either as a promoter, social marketer, or just part time affiliate, that can earn you a few $$$.
Like anything though fella, all depends on how much legwork you want to put in!

Dogs bodies get paid wages.

Good marketing people should want to earn measurable shares of revenue.

Am I, right now, going to PAY someone who I don't know from Adam to push AIR at the Yanks? No. Am I open to offers from someone who says "pay me for what I deliver"? Yes.

One job that a person could be of use to producers would be a "driver/ runner." Someone who is reliable, can drive/ has a car, make tea, get the sandwiches and generally help out without whinging, moaning and being incompetent.

When we used to shoot alot in the UK, we tried to find such a person and had disastrous results. The first turned up in his Jeep to pick us up to take us around the M25 and announced, "I've got a hole in me radiator, but we should be alright!" The next clown after having spent a couple of days on set and realising he wasn't going to get laid announced, "I could be earning much more doing me Dynorod job!" To which I answered, "Well there's the door PAL!" and finally the last one a girl, who seemed promising at the time, was asked to do just one job, apart from get the sandwiches. We were in Camden Town which has horrific parking charges and there were about 5 cars involved with the shoot. Her job was to simply feed the meters. Guess what? She forgot and each car got a ticket, which your truly had to pay.

Since then we decided just to do it all ourselves, so we have no need of someone, but if you are serious I would suggest offering your services doing this job, don't expect alot of money and don't think it will be iike being pool attendant at the Playboy Mansion, cos it wont.

Agree. And that means alot of legwork. If you want to affiliate or market you need to be proper savvy and patient. Instant money it ain't.
