I was hoping to pick the brains of some experts.

Can anyone tell me, on average how much can be made from a good adult website? also on average how many members does a good adult website have?

I know I might be asking, how long is a bit of string? but if anyone could give me a rough idea i would very greatfull.

You answered it yourself - how long is a piece of string.

Without being flippant a site can have zero members to tens of thousands.

Thanks for your reply. Thought that might be the answer.

Could I ask?

How many members would mean you can concider it a good running site? or am asking for string length again?

Yep string length again :)

You could have 100 members and make a reasonable return if you have low costs (ie a solo model site and the model was your partner), but if you are paying for shoots then you need to take into account all your model / shoot costs etc.

So again not one that can easily be answered.

You would have to be a lot more specific in your question if you want a specific answer and even then similar sites could be poles apart in customers versus earnings

Generally speaking I would say that this was about the worst time ever to start up a new site and you would have to sign up to ATVOD by law as well

If you havent got content and regular updates then you are dead from the start. Surfers want volume or seriously good quality for their money. Look around and you can see the sites that do well and from there do your own research.

I wouldnt half step in a decision to do a site if I was getting into it today so I would choose your niche very carefully because it looks like theyve all been done already
