pornstars treating fans as dumb on social media

So, forgive me folks, but why do pornstars posting on social media sites treat their fans/followers as idiots? why can't pornstars simply accept that their fans are adults (predominantly) and treat them as such??
why am I saying this? because most pornstars are not single, they're either in a long term relationship with someone within the industry, or they've just started seeing someone in the wider celeb-based industry (i.e. a footballer or "reality" TV star)
you have girls who post pics on Twitter or Instagram which include their engagement or wedding rings in "candid" shots in a bar or hotel room, but then they pose for a pic with a fan and have removed their rings to support the image that they want to convey of being a single girl, so everyone can fantasise about being with that person... case in point, people like Katie K and Cate Harrington
yes I understand that the "works image is meant to be separate from real life, but when a girl keeps posting pics of themselves on a night out and then post a pic the following morning with the same guy she's been seeing for a few months, yet keeps making comments about how she is desperate to find a boyfriend, it's seen (in my opinion) as treating your fans like idiots, which we're not...
yeah so you don't want to say who you're with, but you don't ever need to, all you need to say is "going out shopping with my boyfriend today, will be on cam later, have a good day folks!" and fans won't care that you're not single, it's "real life" but when they say "spent the day fucking a hot guy I met last night", and then post a pic a day later with wedding rings on, it shows that the previous tweet was either a lie, or just says "I'm married, but I don't want to admit that so I'll pretend I'm still single for my fans"
I just don't get the point.... we're not likely to stop following you just because you're with someone, we most likely don't care! we still want to see your work, but your private life is your business, I just don't see why people pretend it doesn't exist just to their fans
