Without wanting to sound as if I am nit picking I have noticed that since the new forums came in pages are very slow to load. Especially slow when clicking "go to top", "go to topic" or changing between forums. I use a 56k dial up btw.

Is this a teething problem or just a cross I will have to bear?

I just noticed its also very slow when posting also.

ithought the same but ithink its the pc im using at first ive tried 6different ones now seems to be ok.

Agree Go to top takes 10 seconds or more but then thats probably related to the increased size of the pages...I believe

can't say i've noticed any difference, other than the 'archive' index being slower to boot up (via a 1mb connection).

if other forumites would care to let us know of their post-rejig experience, it'll help determine whether magoo is experiencing a little local difficulty, or if there's something happening at our end.

please mention your connection type: i.e. 56k dial-up, 512kbps, 1mb, 2mb, etc.

500k broadband, just same speed as it was before for me.

512: sometimes a delay on a post going in, but no change in loading speed.
Main crit. is it's hard to keep track- quite often I go back to either page (from the other forum or from minimised) and have to refresh a couple of times to get rid of all the 'new' posts I've already read.

yes I find it very slow on 56k dial up myself, in fact the mammoth thread on the other forum was pretty tedious to get through (some of the comments did not help alas).
