he probaly wont see this till the wars over,just like to say were all thinking of you in iraq and hope you are ok and well and fit i know that we dont sometimes see eye to eye on things and you get a bit fed up with my ramblings on the forum but its a bit of fun isnt it?roll on the next bgafd party i can hardly wait ,cheers steve.

If its any consolation Steve. Ace is going to be OK definately. His particular role in this war is not front line. I will not say which outfit he is with or where he is based but its a support/logistical role(theres a clue in there). So dont worry too much Steve. I am sure Ace will be glad to hear your good wishes.....I hope.
Lets hope all our troops come home safe. I reckon Tony Blair and Bush would have thought twice about this if they had sons in the military. That twat Bush even dodged the draught for Vietnam and yet when he ponces about in his US Forces jacket he still somehow gains the respect of his troops......Go figure!
According to the BBC Turkey have now sent 1500 troops in to attack the Kurds in Northern Iraq. The very people we are supposed to be protecting. Lets hope US & Brit Forces put a stop to Turkey killing the Kurds who have suffered enough.

well put chaps, my sentiments exactly, hopefully by this time next week the war will be well and truly done and dusted with as little loss of life as possible ? except for those that deserve it.

At the time of writing quite what Turkey is up to is moot, but somehow i suspect that the Kurdish question in N Iraq is why the Turks said no to the Yanks $ in return for access. That is, nobody with military muscle nearby to stop them doing what they want.
