Well, orgies in the Roman Empire allegedly used to clock up in excess of 1000 participants, and similar figures have been postulated for Early Christian Love-feasts..........the Continentals tend to go in for this 'quantity rather than quality' stuff, and get gates in the 1000s, tho' I'm not sure how much actual shagging goes on.
