Does anyone agree with me that these reporters are stupid?

Several times I have seen reporters ask Iraqi civilians in Basra if they like Saddam Hussain. If these people were to answer truthfully they would be signing thier own death warrants and would be at risk of immediate arrest by Saddams regime. Most of the people I saw asked either nervously looked away or smiled and said they couldnt answer. But one or two expressed a dislike for the regime. Those reports would be seen in Bagdad and by local Baath Party officials on thier sattelite tvs. Are these reporters completely thick or is it just that they dont give a fuck.

Their insatiable thirst for a 'hot story', or to be at least seen to be justifying their wildly expensive, largely unnecessary, unwanted presence, probably outweighs what little sense or good intentions they had in the first place.
And I'm not saying that just because I didn't get an invite......

Fucks me off as well, but then I liken it to the moron hacks who go up to the family of anyone that has been killed and ask; "How do you feel?"

Isn't that what happens when you swan around broadcasting your whereabouts live on air in the middle of a war, driving a white Landcruiser with yer head up your arse!!
