You need to calm down and start thinking- not an auspicious start.......
The bgafd forum is in the drop-down, top right of here. And if you didn't spot that , it doesn't say much for your technical expertise..... ;-))

Me and a few porn colleagues went down this route 18 months back - to no avail. What you'll find is that most large mainstream UK businesses are hypocritical corporate cunts. Happy to shag their secretaries, employ the services of all types of escort girls, cook the books, but feign horror when you suggest they get involved in the adult entertainment business. Oh, they?d most likely have a go if the didn?t have to keep up poncy appearances. But if it were to come to light that they were in anyway involved in the sex industry they might get booted out of the Rotary Club, and the golf club - even though every other fucker there is shagging their own secretary, etc, etc. Hey, they might not get invited to anymore of the Mayor's garden parties and they could certainly forget about the Knighthood.

Plus, they have their wanky big brand advertisers (more hypocritical corporate cunts) and shareholders to consider. Neither of those parties would they wish to be associated with the adult entertainment biz - except when they are shagging their favourite escort girl or perusing the last issue of "Gay Boys In Bondage." Set of poncy twats.

Couldn't even advertise for suitable investors - "I'm sorry, that's not the sort of business 'The Times' wishes to be associated with." Tossers. You might find you get interest from a few public school dreamers and idiots. "Yes, twenty years ago I owned a number of goldmines in Nicaragua, along with my business partner, Daniel Ortega" (The President.) These people drop a few names, talk a load of bull, make out money is no problem and that they've got a spare few million to throw at it, but it invariably turns out that they haven't got a pot to piss in.

Anyhow, I'm glad in a way. Because shortly after it became clear that the adult entertainment game was not going to be the cash cow that it had been in the past. The glamour had all but gone and it would be a hard grind, same as any other straight business.

Dibble.

Thanks for the reply Dibble.

I have 2 investors interested so far, but i'm just looking to
expand my options. You may have seen the message
JJ left, but i'm sorry for being so "new" to this forum.

I guess i may have to look over seas for other
options. Most people who have read my messages, are thinking
oh - another website - wowwwww - thats new.

BOLLOCKS - lol.

It's not just another website, but a continually expanding database
of adult content that can be delivered across a spectrum of
devices.

Unfortunately, i can't give away too much in this forum... but only
to people who have the "piss-pot" to piss in.

Cheers,

Dibble :D

The name?
Oh....it's hidden away in huge letters on the front page. Sneaky of them, that. And aren't all sites at least minimally-navigable? Otherwise....people wouldn't be able to find their way round any of them, except after years of training, of course.

Its always struck me that, with a good idea, lack of capital is not a major constraint as far as internet porn is concerned.

However, I infer from all your posts that this scheme may involve video mobiles. A couple of fundamental questions though, who will watch and when.

Putting aside my extreme scepticism of the whole video/film to mobile market (do you really want to watch Gladiator on a 1inch screen?), when would you want to watch it? Hardly the sort of thing you'll tune into on the bus or in public, and once you're private there's a nice big monitor on the desk.

In 1999 a client showed me figures which suggested that, at current rates, around half of all retail sales would be over the internet by 2005. I politely suggested that after 100years mail order shopping had only acheived a 4% share and that web shopping is only an electronic catalogue. But that 4% is still worth over ?7bn.

Moral: Assume a microscopic share but if the market's big enough you'll make money.

(at the moment its the video mobile market that's microscopic)

As a complete amateur, I found the whole idea slightly loopy, for much the same (though much less well-informed) reasons you did.
Very few peopole I know can even be arsed with the soimplest WAP technology: it might have professional applications, but I don't yet (or even mid- to long-term) see it making headway on the leisure side.
Still, good luck: we need innovators/entrepreneurs (are you watching, Ossifer?).......
