Being pedantic i'm sure, but, it's a Sainsbury's advert...

There's brand recognition for you. ?10m Sainsbury campaign, oodles of dosh for Jaimie, and the punter thinks its Tesco!

Now which ad should I be looking for?

Was it Ladbroke Grove Sainsburys?

If it's got Jamie Oliver in it it's def Sainbury's.

If it's got Prunella Scales & Jane Horrocks it's Tesco's.

Mind you I can see Jamie & Jane being mistaken for one another!!

ASDA dont seem to have any celebs in their ads which is a good thing IMHO as Jamie and Prunella might put customers off.

Sainsburys had to axe the ads with John Cleese as they found that customers subconsciously associated Sainsburys as being a bit like the hotel in Fawlty Towers ie badly run with a lunatic manager. Which is not to far from the truth at my local store.

Asda have people patting their bottoms, which I find a bit off putting. Gives the image of everyone wandering around Asda smacking their own bottom as they do their daily shop!!!!!

You can't beat Brunnhilde from the Netto ads, IMHO........
