Trisha

Hi All.

Time to vent my spleen and thought the best place would be on here.

Yesterday the programme featured a couple in their early 30s discussing their relationship problems, both people appeared to have a learning disability coupled with the fact that they were frankly discussing their sex life made the audience which was full of social degenerates whose day is filled by laughing at other peoples misfortunes roar with laughter.

Today i turned on while getting dressed i saw a glimpse of a teenage girl with serious behavioral problems heckled and booed by the audience which in turn made her "freak out" in front of them.

I think it is time that this so called show was taken off the air.

I Fully Agree ! add to the list of crimes the main Lady herself who apart from having no training in Psychology also comes across as a know-it-all.
Take it off the air ....... might i just add that along with mr Springer it's amazing how many pornstars use these show's for plug's and put up with
narrow minded abuse.

Trisha and Kilroy are noshers, plain and simple. They incorporate their 'Instant Expertism' to gee up a situation if its starting to fall flat as it makes great (?) viewing. Trish would look good in an inter-racial film methinks

Trisha is a worse offender than Kilroy. The only thing she lacks, apart from modesty, is the T-shirt to go with the "Been there, Done that".

It's trash tv for the trash generation of workshy loafers, students, and generally lazy good-for-nothings who blight this country. If they wish to air their 'My mum's a lesbian and I'm shagging my brother' kind of disputes on national tv, let 'em - it's the best advert for getting a life as I've ever seen. Trisha's quite rightly held up as crap tv, yet people seem to fall over themselves to wank on and on and on about I'm a celeb?get me out of here. The highlight of which has been Wayne Sleep crawling through a field of rats with potato waffles tied to his head. How can it be that this televisual effluent passes for 'entertainment' in the year 2003?

It is the same syndrome as News/World readers - Oh, my God, Disgusting, Tut-tut, ad nauseum. However, they attract a very wide audience. To misquote someone or other, "There is something immensly gratifying in the misfortunes of others"

True Marcus, I know I piss myself at most of the exploits on Jackass and Dirty Sanchez. GREAT viewing if finding someone else's misfortunes funny.

You have to question why people choose to appear on Trisha etc. Is their need for five minutes on telly so great that they feel they have to let the nation know they slept with their father-in-law or whatever? Springer was a shock to the British system, and some found it entertaining watching what the Americans would term "trailer trash" washing their dirty underwear in public, swearing and fighting, and all the time the audience chanting "Jerry, Jerry!"

While I do feel sorry for what the people Michelle mentioned had to put up with, why did they agree to do the show in the first place? If they genuinely need help, a daytime TV show is the last place to find it.

Hi Caractacus

People with mental health or disability issues tend to be easy prey for these type of shows and some are easily led.

They were probabally told by some researcher that they could mend their relationship by appearing on the show (i.e talking about it will help), I am also very dubious about the "Counsellor" that exists behind the scenes, problems are not helped or solved by a quick half an hour session by some TV shrink.

Also they do pay your travel and stick you in a hotel of course............

I hope that all involved with the running of the show watched it yesterday and today and are feeling disgusted themselves, OH and pigs might fly!!!!
