TV shows.

It seems that since 1990's there have been very few decent British TV shows.
Most good stuff now seems to be from the USA.
Yet the beeb still can take over ?100 from me even though I hardly ever watch the beeb (ok gardners world Friday night is good).
Even ITV seems to have gone down hill over the last few years.
Today is Sat, prime TV, you would think, so what is on at 6pm?
BBC: I'd Do Anything (a dull show which an ex footballer gets paid lots of cash), Only Fools and Horses (repeted over a dozen times), The National Lottery: In It to Win It (an advert almost 1 hour long), Casualty (now a soap, which is long past it. But the actors will get paid well), Kevin and Perry Go Large (OK I want to watch this), The Murder Game (a cheap game show - maby ok as a weekday show but not for a sat night), Match of the Day (boy do I hate football).
Well that souinds like worth staying in for......
There was a time Sat was a good night for TV, a time when shows were very low budget, presenters paid next to nothing, but the result was great TV.
How hard could it be to make sothing decent.
OH well, guess its the times we live in.
I know that some love and some hate Big Brother, but I wonder if TV was desent, would we still watch it. I for one know I will (unless the people on it suck) just cos nothing else will be on TV.
