Eurovision - where will they draw the mark (and wh

Got this little story from here

"Event bosses are preparing to show rehearsal footage during the live event on Saturday if Tatu's performance becomes too sexually explicit."

I have a sinking intuition that they will make the switch to rehearsal footage at the merest hint of anything even remotely sensual. If they do, I wil once again shake my head in disbelief at the hyposcricy and over moralism that goes on in our culture.

Quite apart from the fact that I would quite enjoy seeing Tatu not only kiss but throw micrphones away mid-set, abandon the song altogether and engage in full on lesbian action right there on stage, why are we yet again allowing unseen people decide what's good for us to watch? Oh, because children might be watching? Give me a break. It's about time we let children know that the christians got it wrong - the hot collared conservatives were telling us lies - there's nothing wrong with liking someone of the same sex, even if you're 'only' 16. And there's nothing wrong with kissing them either.

As long as we carry on down this "heterosexuality is fine but if it's not a heterosexual relationship, it belongs in adult viewing time" bullshit road, we're not going to make much progress.

Thanks - your piy is the last thing I need though, really. If you could throw in a bottle of vodka with it, I'd be more grateful :)

I wouldn`t let them appear full stop.
Anyone who believes they are lesbians will believe anything.

Its amazing how anything that resembles anything same sex onstage is frowned on but b/g would be tolerated

We in Oz had a show on Tv in 1980/81 with the band Rose Tattoo...the lead singer swapped Angry Anderson(male) & the one of the band(male) swapped their gum

All I will say is as long as the bands act is the music and not the act then its OK.If their main act becomes a lez fest....then forget them....they as might as well be pornstars

I have never seen them so for the record

cheers
B....OZ

I dont see the fuss over Tatu. Two not amazingly attractive girls appear in one video kissing each other in bad focus footage-before I heard all the controversy I thought that the video I first seen late at night while knackered and maybe drunk was some crappy american girl rock band.I didnt bat an eyelid to the kissing, assuming that the short haired one was a boy seeing as i wasnt paying a whole lot of attention.
I mean be honest-did that video actually give you a major hard on?When you see that kind of thing in public you nearly poke your eye out with the stiffy you get but you expect better from tv.Maybe its just a consequence of watching porn but i wasnt arsed.

As for whether they are lesbains Im not arsed. Most girls in porn are not 100% lesbian so why does it matter?

Anyway vote for the Irish entry you lot!He was picked on a pop idol style tv contest that seemed to run for about 6 months. Its the first time in decades that we have been arsed about winning it.Most years people would barely have heard the song we sent.

Drawing the line should involve finishing the pathetic show for good!!

Apart from stars from Sweden and Britain very few European pop acts have made it big.
