I suspected as much.

It would be cool if they actually did something like that with amateurs, but there'd be a lot more complications involved.

I've often thought that, and also pondered on whether satellite adult channels really expect us to believe it's real or are just indulging us in a bit of obvious fiction. Sometimes I tend to believe it's the former, then again sometimes I come across people who'd have no trouble believing it either.
