Bloody hell...as soon as I saw 'Tomorrow' I thought of the song
'My White Bicycle'. Must be late 60s (1967 ?). Have not heard it
since.
Funny how these things are stored in the corner of our brain and
we can dig them out from somewhere.
I loved all the psycadelic music of the late 60s (Doors, Hendrix, Yes,
Family, King Crimson, Jefferson Airplane) and I know all these groups above, but not sure what 'sike' is.
btw My favorite CD of that era was 'Forever Changes' by Love. I bought
the CD again a few months ago, it is a brilliant CD and still stands up
today. Do yourself a treat, go buy it.

that explains what sike is.
Who first did that type of music is hard to say, like a lot
of things it was many people and many ideas.
My guess is that it came out of San Francisco with the use
of LSD, so west cost bands such as Jefferson Airplane, Love,
Doors etc. Elektra label was prominent.
In UK I guess Floyd were the first pushing the boundries,
with Hendrix, Yes and others. Even the Beatles tried some
interesting things on Rubber Soul and Revolver.
Then many jumped on the sike bandwagon. Many 'straight'
groups donned kaftans and wrote songs like 'Kites' (Simon
Dupree) along with 'Hollies' and 'Tremeloes'.
Even the Stones did their sike CD 'Their satanic majesties
request' (which they would rather forget), after the Beatles
did Sgt Pepper.
I always thought Pretty Things were just poor mans Stones,
more into R & B.
If pressed my choice for first sike song would be White Rabbit
by Jefferson Airplane but willing to be shot down.

And how could I forget....Traffic.
Shaftsberry Theatre....probably the best live concert I have ever seen.
Jimi Hendrix was in the audience...and of course he and Steve Winwood
later worked together on Electric Ladyland.
Some stuff on Electric Ladyland was amazing.
Shame Hendrix died....he did some great stuff....All along the watchtower
still one of the greatest singles.
