At least with the Daily Mirror you get the feeling they are arsed about what they are campaigning for.The News of the World campaigns seem to be run in order for people to cough up money for a paper so that they can get their"Bring in law X"forum to be sent to Downing Street.On the sky news paper review last night it said Prince William was engaged(i thyink it was the NOTW).We can now confidently conclude that the News of the World couldnt give the steam of their piss as far as the truth is concerned.They realise that the royals are not te types to sue.And even if people who have been wronged do sue they know that they made so much profit from such a big story that the lawsuit payout is only a minor expense.They like to do things that they know they can get away with.The Sun seems to have some sort of Eminem fixation and is constantly writing half truths about him,safe in the knowledge that he has never even seen a copy of the Sun and so is unlikely to ever see the story.They are all in a shite barrel but the NOTW beats em all.I love the way that when talking about another newspaper the tabloid always calls them"a downmarket tabloid rag"or something along those lines.
Any po faced moralising about crime and punishment by this racist hooligans newspaper is surplus to requirements.

During the week, another NOTW expose blew up in the courts, when the trial against some ex boy band type collapsed due to lack of evidence. The main witness, someone the Screws had paid 15 grand to up front, decided not to bother going to court and buggered off abroad. After the judge slagged off the (toilet) paper, the NOTW responded by saying it had done all the hard research and it was up to the police to do the rest.

Part of the problem is that the industry is self-regulating, and the PCC has Murdoch minions on it. Therefore, no teeth.
