Does anyone know how you can check to see if a e-mail you have sent has been received and read.

I was wondering as with e-mail accounts most of the time people sign up to numerous e-mails but never use them.

The person I want to contact I lost their phone number but i am trying to contact them by e-mail.

Hopefully someone has got some bright ideas.

One method is that they email you back.

OK, thats not much help - but this is:

Outlook express (may depend on your verion)

Click onto tools - then options - then select receipts - click on the option 'request a recipt for all read messages'.

Its not 100% but I think its your best option.

Havn't tried them but looks promising.
