Jimi. he was the greatest musician of the 20th century. He could play everything Clapton could play and more. Jimmy Page would be a close third.

yep, it's a tough one. Electric Ladyland is a masterpiece, kind of like a huge film, but with no pictures. You conjure up your own images while listening i suppose. We must not forget Are You Experienced? as well, packed with great numbers. Not just the well known ones like Purple Haze, Hey Joe, Foxy Lady etc.. but thee also some magnificant gems like 'May This be Love' and 'Remember'.
If you don't already have it, I would also recommend buying some of the recently re-released Isle of Wight material. The DVD is spectacular, makes the hairs on your neck stand up.
