I saw The Clash in 1982 in Hong Kong, and the pure power the band generated that night was like nothing I have witnessed before or since. I have seen all the 'mega' bands from REM, U2, Rolling Stones, Red Hot Chili Peppers and nothing comes close to what I saw in 82.

hi ace,i never knew the clash toured hong kong,in the meantime fave tracks from give em enough rope are last gang in town,english civil war,julie,you probaly know already but that track was based on a true story that was in the news months in the late 70s.

They did HK in Jan 82 as a warm up gig for touring Japan. It was The AC Hall, and I have my ticket stub and pics to prove it. These are featured on several Clash web-sites
