Magazine photographers beware

There's a certain Essex based publisher of top shelf magazines which is sending out letters asking photographers to send them 20 notes per set if they want to see their pictures again after publication.
If you don't pay or collect, your sets get thrown in the bin after three months! Apparently, the same 'payment for postage' is requested across the board on submitted material!

i'm not a photographer but a model in the b/g scene.Just to say i heard this particular scam on the grapevine, but i heard he was targeting London and Midlands. But i also heard it from certain people in a chit chat conservation.
But the one i heard wasn't a company from essex(maybe i thinking and confusing it with something else that's glamour)Maybe it is the same one.

No, I think we're talking at cross-purposes. This is the publisher of Fiesta I'm talking about. But I was trying to be subtle...

Signs of a sinking ship when a business starts asking its suppliers to pay their bills for them.
Its a shame a once decent company has managed to piss off so many people in one stroke, but anyone who agrees to this must be either mad or as desperate as they are.

I heard today that they've asked one photographer based up in the Midlands for 240 quid! If he doesn't pay it, he won't get his 12 picture sets back! *kin mental or wot!

I'm sure the return postage is worth every penny?

Right. Tell it to the photographers who don't live within an hour of Essex!
Pretty sure that any US or foreign photographers will have a chuckle at this one.

Hmm, yes, not so splendido for them, I guess.

Funny how few of those same photographers (and we all know they look at the boards) have bothered to post isn't it?

Taking a stand and refusing to supply them would quickly sort it out, but I guess most will just meekly go along with it.
(Yes, i'm one, and i'll be making a stand)
