In light of the recent posts regarding the cost of making an adult dvd this is the issue we never consider. What if you make one and cannot sell it.

On Sat TV here in Germany we had a porn actress talking about her biggest disaster. She was in a Sex in the Sun production in Spain along with another girl and two guys.

She did a scene with the two guys by the pool , and the net result was the guys were so badly sunburned the could not continue with any other scenes.

The owner of the villa had complaints about the poolside activity and evicted them that day,so they had to get another place to stay and work.

The producer got in two studs who lived in the resort but the other girl knew them and refused to work with them.

To remendy this they went to the night clubs and got in a couple of guys , who had never done porn before and could not perform in front of the cameras, eventually they got some other guys in ,and the scences were done ,but none of the guys were indusrty standard

The final bit of bad luck was in her final scene she had food poisoning along with the cameraman and spent the scene, racing him to the toilets

She went on to say that the scenes have never been released.

This may sound extreme but I imagine the same thing happens in this country only on a smaller scale

So it is the producer who has to pay the labour, flights, hire of equiptment and take all the risks. Does'nt seem to be worth the risk when you look at the reported returns.

I'll tell you a comparitive story. Bill Wright and I flew off to Australia in 1997 to shoot for Private. First problem was that all the 7 female Hungarians were declined visas to visit Oz. Next two of the 3 Brit replacements we got Hannah Coleman and a girl from Yorkshire ( 3 is all that he could find to go unbelievably ) got refused entry to Oz at Melborne airport. So we arrived 4 crew and 3 studs and 1 girl ( Sarah McClean ) to make two movies. Next finding girls in Oz was just about useless even though we were Private Australias guests at the sexpo exhibition. We found two hookers who would ONLY work with condoms. So pretty much we had a two week holiday in Oz which ain't so tough. We rescued the movie by shooting all the sex scenes in back in Budapest. But yes there are usually problems. In this country it is getting the girls there and on time. It is a nightmare sometimes.

I can Really relate to that,

Only a few months, I was took a "model " abroad, paid all items only to watch her, fuel her "Habit", and do no work, and then expect me to pay her,

The Glamour world is full many pits falls, and boys do the Girls know how to take us to the cleaners.

I guess we will get smart arse say "He's been in the business ever since he left the national service, and Never had a problem...

I begin to the think the market has now reached it saturation point.
What is needed some good films with all the effects, and then the real porn too.

Talking about this subject to a guy at work today. He was saying that last year on a similar programme, a producer was talking about the time when he booked a Belgium girl for two shoots. She asked if she could bring her boyfriend along and said he was very cool about the whole thing.
On the first day he was great and cool and likable.
Day two ,going through the shoot, girl is working with her partners boyfriend goes berserk, beats the guys up tries to wreck the studio and beat the producer up
Needless to say he no longer allows boyfriend on the set these days
