Dodgy Accents

A few have mentioned Sean Connery's Scottish accent when playing an English/Arab/Irish/Russian character. I read some other dodgy ones in the paper yesterday like Dick Van Dyke's piss poor effort.
MY nominations are Tom Cruise as an Oirish immigrant in Far and Away. Mickey Rourke as an Oirish terrorist in A Prayer for The Dying
Any others NOT mentioned in the paper?

Tim Curry in Congo, whichever eastern European country he was supposed to be from.

The entire "Scottish" cast of Brigadoon.

John Lithgow in Cliffhanger as an awfully frightful English type.

Isn't it the case that when a megastar plays the part the studios don't care
about the story being authentic

Kevin Costner never changed his normal accent when he played Robin Hood

From memory Tony Curtis never bothered to even try

cheers
