Vida in the Tate

While visiting the Tate Modern art gallery in London yesterday I noticed that one of the works on display is four blown up double page spreads from the Sport / Sunday Sport circa 1994 including a big photo of Vida Garman, Sharon Kane and a few girls with their knockers out. That was it. Just a big photocopy of the pages. I wouldn't be surprised if Charles Saatchi paid the artist a millon quid for it. It's apparently meant to draw our attention to things that may otherwise go unnoticed - a "seedy underbelly of society" sort of thing I suppose. I was tempted to get the old todger out and add my own Jackson Pollock-style contribution to the work but something stopped me. Perhaps another BGAFD reader will have a go instead.

I am wondering if the Arts Council would fund me to "construct" some perfomance art pieces?

I have in mind me, shagging Amanda Dawkins senseless while occaisionally stopping to pretend to be a tree or shrub.

What do you reckon? Art or bollocks?
