Nope, not a bit. He hasn't done anything of note since about 1970 and he certainly *didn't* deserve a knighthood for the last thirty odd years work. I call it tripe and that's from somebody who likes the Beatles. His sale of most of his classic backcatalogue to Michael Jackson was completely mercenary, the pop music equivalent of raffling the National Gallery. Still not envious of deeds like that, no sir.

I have to aggree with Giles, I think his only musical contribution since leaving the beatles has been the "Frog Chrous" song back in the 80's.

For a supposed "solo artist" he seems to spend must of his time playing his old Beatles Hits due to the fact that he hasn't written anything worth hearing himself.

the frog chorus was absolute drivel as far as im concerned.
