Ok, I know she is slated a lot.
But I do think it was a class act when she snubed British Airways a bit back.
For those who mi9ssed it - a bit back when British Airways thought it was a good idea to spend thousands of pounds to paint doodles on the tails of plans. Mrs Thatcher was invited by the director (or somone like that) to be shown around British Airways. I had a feeling that the chap was a Ig fan of her.
Well as she walked past a model plane, she too out a handcachief and covered up the tail with it.
You should have seen the directors face when she did it.
It was pure class.

Oh, I get it. Someone who spends fourteen solid years breaking the country's backbone redeems themselves with a lame, condescending gag, eh. Terrific!
Pure class? I think you'll find she was pure shit, Stan. Admiring Thatcher's "qualities" is like admiring the paintwork on a cluster bomb.

Oh yeah, she was a right fuckin laugh! I never stopped laughin, especially at those fourteen years she sent the country down the shitter. Hilarious!
I'll admit one thing though, she was a right fucking joke.

Im with Stan on this. despite her shortcomings........and there WERE plenty, that particular episode was genius. She WAS proud to be British, and made every attempt to prove it.
It was disgraceful that the worlds best known airline went on strike over the weekend........if it was a two-bob outfit like EasyJet, I could understand, but NOT BA!!!!!!

Genius? Those BA tail designs were considered genuinely fabulous within the design/graphics industries - an excellent chance to make a bold mark and promote one of our stronger creative arms on the world's stage. But no, along comes a woman whose cultural tastes run no further than Paul fucking Daniels and puts the mockers on it. That's genius for you.
