I spent the day in extreme outdoor heat, dressed like a soldier, filming a battle scene with CG aliens that have yet to be dropped in.
Take after take in extreme heat. Drinks were too hot. Sun was too bright. Uniform was too gnarly and the plasma gun was fucking huge and heavy.

I had an epiphanous moment where I thought how groovy it would be to get paid to have sex with beautiful women, have 3 somes, have my love piston worshipped and bang one out over a sexy chicks face!....and then I was brought back down to Earth by the ever so familiar chant of "CUT...Let's do that just ONE more time."

Now had I been filming porn, those words would have been music to my ears, but alas.
The only saving grace was that I didn't have to bust a single kick today. Wise move given the heat, yet I have it all to do on the next day of filming.

Actually, it's more a case of being in the right place at the right time.
I got in thru my martial arts work and just happened to meet people like minded people along the way.

It's about doing anything & everything just to get your foot in the door, be it, low budget; no budget; Independant; Amateur; Music Vids; Commercials etc. Whatever goes.
The pay is for shit to start with depending on what you are doing but can evetually be rewarding.

I'm trying to get some martial artists together to showcase a real stoked promo video. Anyone out there able to mix it?

Spend 25 years practising Martial Arts as opposed to Marital Arts.
Learn how to use weapons convincingly, even if you suck.
Rent & watch every single martial arts film you can get your hands on and then try to beat the flashiest routine in your own time.
Find a group of like minded people who want to do the same thing and make a short 15 minyte amateur film. Send it to every single company in Spotlights.
Set up a website....
Hang on, there's an easier way. You see the marketing that every porn star does for themselves right? The shameless self publicity, which isn't such a bad thing, well do that but don't pass yourself as a porn person!
You don't need 25 years of martial arts either. If you can pick it up really well, I'd say 10 years and you're laughing.

I only use martial arts as it was my "gimmick" and way in.
If you set yourself up as an actor, it's harder as there are millions in the same boat.
You need a hook. A way into a corner of a market.
You can either be a stunning bodybuilder, male or female. Be an amazing comic and get into it thru comedy, or just have massive sexual organs, again male or female.
