I've heard the odd rumble of thunder a couple of times this week, and on each occasion it's come to nothing. Not all of us can sit on a rock all day like Lizard absorbing the sun and keeping Carol amused with an unfeasibly long tongue. We need some rain, and preferably a cool, brisk breeze.

No sign of rain in the south I'm afraid........temp has just hit a record 37.9c or 100f at Heathrow.

Flash floods in the North though!

Just want it too cool down a bit that's all makes just doing anything more bearable.............at the mo it's TOO hot to do ANYTHING!!!!!

It's got to be torture for people working in factories, or hospitals and shops without any air-conditioning.

Iv,e tried to coax Carol into my smeg walk in freezer for a spot of oral entertainement, but she,s not having any, she likes it hot! and that bastard Whiteley,s snooping around dressed in a pair of khaki shorts four sizes too big, looking a right twat, tip for magoo, get a big bag of frozen peas from Asda, and place them down your strides, keeps you cool for a while, and you look like 'de man' as far as the ladies are concerned, just dont let the bag burst, or youv,e got a lot of explaining to do....

Liz (anything but cool)

You piss and moan when its cold and wet, and likewise when its hot!!
When I was in Kuwait in March, it was 46 degrees at night with NO A/C. This hot weather is uncomfortable, but tolerated after stand-by in Kuwait. I won't bore you with how hot the field kitchens got in the desert at noon.

You've already done that on a previous occasion

I agree if there were an Olympic Event for Whining/Whingeing England would streets ahead of the field-a Gold Medal assured

My advice in Hot weather

During the day-Go shopping in Malls-the freezer at the butchers is a favourite-you just ask to inspect the meat that you are going to buy

When at Home-Move your TV & Computer into the bathroom-watch it while in a cold bath and have the maid bring you ice tea or lemonade

cheers
