Much spending

Okay, admittedly I only saw the first half of the "money to burn" Chelsea's game tonight, but Bridge, Johnson and, especially, Duff apart, I wasn't mightily impressed. And if you're going to buy a Rolls-Royce of a player like Veron, at least give him a free role.

would like to comment Caractacus but feel I better not or ?Ace will be on my Case?, besides the old teddy bears had a shocker with FC Copenhagen ... never mind Celtic won 4-0 away, hey fucking ho he says sarcastically yet again.

There are tears running down my legs at the thought of the Huns suffering an embarrassing home draw
Still, says something about the state of the game up here that they can look utter garbage and still put four past Kilmarnock. It's noticeable that, until the Tic got to the UEFA final earlier this year, the last decent Scottish team performance in Europe was when the Arabs reached (and lost) the final of the same tournament in the mid-'80s---roughly the time when Souness became Rangers' manager and started trying to buy European success. Since then, it's been downhill all the way, with finances and TV money being more important than the people who pay at the turnstiles.

All that counts in playing lesser teams is the result
2-0 away to anyone is a good result
4-0 away is brilliant
1-1 at home is a disaster waiting to happen

Quite right, Buttsie. So well done to Chelsea, Celtic and, erm, Rangers. God, the Masons will be upset again. Their trouser legs will be at half mast.

The sooner Rangers & Celtic join the The Premier League the better IMO
Can you imagine the chance to beat an English every team every week
The TV ratings would go through the roof
No wonder the Clubs have voted against their inclusion
cheers

I think they would probably be brought down to earth with a bang. Celtic might (might) be capable of getting into the top half of the Premiership, but the mighty Gers would soon have their unrealistic dreams dispelled.

On current form in Europe I agree but each season is different
It wasn't that long ago that Celtic were just as shite as Rangers in Europe
If memory serves correctly the gers had one good year not that long ago
All comes down to who you have in your Squad
The Gers seem to pick up more misfits or players past their best than most
Can't be easy attracting good players to a 2 team league even if playing in Europe is guaranteed year in year out
Me thinks the only reason players go there is for the easy money
They seem to pick up those Aussies-god knows why
cheers

If only Celtic and Rangers would piss off and join the Premiership, I'd be a happy man. They contribute absolutely nothing to Scottish Football except sectarianism and hatred.
I for one would love to see them go - and then get relegated!

It was a shit game, and players will need time to gel, but when we have ?75m of players and get an 'own goal', it does say something.
I think it will be different against Liverpool, and we will struggle for a few games till we gel and Ranieri decides who is best suited, then watch us go!!
I think his best team will be Cudicini, Johnson,Terry,Gallas,Bridge,Geremi,Veron,Lampard,Duff,Gudjohnsson,JFH.
