its mentioned in the 70s hit for roxy music:virginia plain,but what is a holzer maine?

The actual line goes 'can't you see that Holzer mane' and refers to the hair of an actress friend of Andy Warhol - Baby Jane Holzer.

Sure doesn't. But then all blinding records often seem to reflect their age, but never really age themselves.

Apparently not - though I can't be 100%. However, it did appear on subsequent re-releases in many countries.
