mars getting closer

tonight on bbc2 theres a programme on about this planet being near earth for 60,000 yrs,wat date would that be cant work it out?

A.D 62, 003, I guess.
They're all in eccentric orbits (a bit like you, then....), so the distance from Earth varies according to what point in their orbits around the Earth and/or Sun they are at.
