Well buttsie, I must say that Oz can equal the UK in the crap performers category- the programme was sub-titled "The Bad, the Mad and the Ugly".
I'm sure there will be a Kiwi version so I won't crow.

I'm proud to say I didn't watch 1 episode after I saw the promo
Total crap
If your lucky enough to get our ABC in NZ check out their new programs
Finally saved from reality TV and that Horror Movie-The News
5.55pm the return of Batfink
6.00pm Dr Who.....Cave of Skulls....Episode 1...I believe they are intending to play all of them...4 years worth..4 night a week.....judging by the b/w picture this has got to be one of the first...the acting leaves a lot to be desired not to mention the storyline.
cheers

The acting and the storylines won't get any better. The good news is you will get it in colour.

Well, I have a confession to make. I've just discovered that the "Popstars" curse started here in New Zealand. I would normally be proud to share in any glory due to a Kiwi invention but I hang my head in shame. My only excuse is that I wasn't living here at the time.

Seems a bit rum.
Does NZ actually HAVE any popstars?

No more or less than the UK or OZ...its just they all live in Australia and get branded by the media as Australians...pathetic really....the same goes for actors/actresses
Very true Mart
How long before the No 1 NZ show with the farmer & dog leading 3 sheep through a course makes
it World Wide?
cheers

Well Deuce, "One Man and His Dog" was a very popular show on BBC TV, it ran for years, even so the Beeb decided to drop it.
As for jj's question, isn't that the whole dire truth that's exposed by the programmes no matter where they are made.

PS I hoped I was going to be able to make jokes at Deuce/Oz expense last night when it looked as if there was going to be the first $1,000,000 winner on the Australian "Who wants to be a Millionaire". A Kiwi got to that point but decided to call it a day rather than losing a lot by guessing the final answer: the question being "How many Dalai Lamas have there been? 13, 14, 15 or 16?"
